The Teatro Alfieri was built during the second half of the nineteenth century and modelled on the Teatro Carlo Felice in Naples. It reopened in 2002 after lengthy restoration work that was successful in combining historical authenticity and functionality. Its season includes theatre, music and dance and is developed by the Municipality of Asti with the collaboration of the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo.
